What we have here is an impeccable 1965 AMC Marlin. One of the companies finest designs if you ask me. Unfortunately it does not come with an engine and I can't imagine finding one is very easy. That being said I still think 3800 is an awesome price.

It is a very nice price. I saw one that needed more work, but came with an engine, for $4k a couple of weeks back. Finding an engine is also ways easier than you think - that's basically a Jeep engine, and Jeep I6s and V8s of AMC design were produced for decades.

Pre-'71 sixes use a smaller bolt pattern, but adapters surely exist - or even bellhousings to swap from a contemporary Jeep.

I forgot AMC also made the Jeep. I suppose if you were willing to swap in a Jeep engine the parts would be easy to come find

Going to a V8 would not be hard at all, but a Jeep 4.0 would make the Marlin an excellent DD.
